We recently had to attend a family wedding in Goodyear, Arizona. Instead of flying from Southern California we decided to make a camping trip out of it in our Grand Design Reflection Fifth-Wheel trailer. Using our favorite website for planning our trips, RV Parky, we located this little gem of a campground called Destiny RV Resort.
When we first arrived I was a little worried as the area looked pretty desolate. But to my great surprise, it turned out to be a nice little park.
The park is super clean and the landscape is exactly what you would expect of the Arizona Desert. Since we always camp with hour two little furkids, dog-friendly parks is a must for us.
We noticed several "no dogs allowed" signs in certain areas of the park, they do have several nice dog runs a short distance for the spot we were in. The reason for the no dogs allowed signs is that they are trying to keep bad dog owners from letting their dogs do their "business" in the clean landscape.
If you own a diesel truck as I do, you are in luck. There are several diesel stations within a couple of miles of the campground. While we only spent 3 nights at this park, but I would not hesitate to stay here again. Since my wife has family out here, I have a feeling we will be coming back to Destiny RV Resort in the very near future.
