Cranberry Sauce with Whiskey

A great Cranberry Sauce with Whiskey with just a hint of orange that can be made with or without the alcohol.

Cranberry Sauce with Whiskey

It’s not the Holidays without some cranberry sauce. I usually make my cranberry sauce with Grand Marnier, but this time I was asked to make a cranberry sauce without alcohol. Ok, so how does that work when this recipe specifically says Cranberry Sauce with Whiskey?

Cranberry Sauce with Whiskey

This Cranberry Sauce with Whiskey recipe only calls for 1/4 Cup of Whiskey and since there is no acceptable substitute for this small amount of Whiskey, you can simply omit it without affecting the overall flavor of this cranberry sauce.

Obviously, it tastes just that much better with a little whiskey, but this recipe is versatile enough that you can simply leave it out if needed.

Needless to say, this was a hit with our Holiday Turkey! Everyone loved the tartness of the cranberries but also the hint of orange flavor. Definitely going to make this one over and over and over.
