Pineapple Sauce for Ham

I really wanted to make something a little different to go with this New Year’s honey baked ham. I could’ve taken the easy way out and offer up mustard but what fun is that? Here’s a super easy recipe that goes great with baked ham.


This Pineapple sauce is so easy to make I literally made an hour before heading over to my mother-in-law’s for dinner. You most likely already have all the ingredients in your pantry except possibly the cans of crushed pineapples.


How to Make this Recipe


In a small sauce pan mix the brown sugar, cornstarch and salt.


Stir in undrained crushed pineapple, lemon juice and mustard.


Cook over medium heat, stirring constantly until mixture thickens and comes to a boil. Boil while stirring for 1 minute.


Boil while stirring for 1 minute.


Serve warm with Ham.
