Sometimes when I am in a hurry I cook some frozen meatballs to go with my pasta. I figured why not make my own meatballs in my Instant Pot Pressure Cooker.
The process of making the meatballs themselves is just like any other homemade meatball recipe. It's the cooking method that differs here.
Instead of frying or baking the meatballs, we will use our Instant Pot Pressure Cooker to cook them.
The one major difference here is that since the Pressure Cooker needs some sort of liquid to work, this meatball recipe requires you to cook the meatballs in your favorite pasta sauce.
If you are going to be using these meatballs for something other than pasta, you may want to rethink this. I have a short video on my YouTube Channel on how to make Baked Italian Meatballs. For the full recipe see Easy Baked Italian Meatballs.
🐄 How to Handle Raw Beef
Thaw raw ground beef on a plate on the lowest shelf of the refrigerator, to avoid dripping onto other foods.
Keep raw and ready-to-eat meats separate.
Wash hands thoroughly before and after handling raw ground beef. Wash cutting boards, bowls, and utensils used to prepare raw ground beef with hot soapy water and rinse well.
Use separate plates to carry raw ground beef patties to the cooking area and cooked patties to the serving area.
Use a Thermometer to ensure Ground Beef Reaches the Safely Cooked Internal Temperature of 160°F.
The ingredients used for these meatballs are pretty basic. As I mentioned before this is more about how to cook meatballs in the instant pot pressure cooker than it is about the flavor of the meatballs themselves.
That being said, feel free to modify the seasoning, etc. for the meatballs as the cooking time should not really change unless you significantly alter the meatballs themselves.
