spicy meatball sub

I’ve been craving a good Meatball Sub and decided to take it up a notch and make it a little spicy.

Not difficult to do when you use a little spicy marinara sauce (pasta sauce) and some Pickled Jalapeños.

I love this meatball sub recipe not only because it’s super easy to make but ready to eat in about 10 minutes.

I had some leftover buns after making some tortas so I decided to use those to make this sub recipe. But feel free to use whatever kind of bun you prefer. A nice hoagie roll would work fine.

I like to use sliced Mozzarella cheese for my meatball subs but you can use whatever you have on hand as long as it melts. Sliced Provolone Cheese would be a good alternative.

If you are having a hard time finding spicy marinara sauce you can use regular marinara sauce and add some crushed red pepper flakes while it is simmering in the skillet.
