If you are looking for an easy-to-make steak seasoning this recipe is for you. Take your steak up a notch with these 7 simple ingredients you probably already have in your pantry.

    spices in a bowl

This steak seasoning recipe takes less than 5 minutes to make so you really don't have any excuse not to use it next time you make steaks. Heck, it will take you longer to locate all the spices than it will to make this recipe.

🧂 How to use Dry Rub

Before you apply your dry rub to your meat, make sure you pat your meat down with a paper towel to remove as much of the moisture you can. Next, you need a binder to help the dry rub stick to the meat. You can use an egg wash, olive oil or even yellow mustard. I prefer to use Olive Oil most of the time.

If you've cooked steaks for family and friends before, you know that everyone likes their steaks cooked differently. For example, when I make filet mignon, I prefer mine on the rare side while my spouse prefers hers well done.

To ensure the best results possible, I always suggest using a food thermometer and cook until you reach the desired internal temperature. You can find cheap handheld ones pretty cheap online or you can use fancy wireless ones if your budget allows.

If you are curious about the cooking method I used for the Rib Eye Steak in the video this is what I did. I set my Pit Boss smoker to 200°F and smoked the steak until it reached 120°F internal temperature. Then I cranked up the heat to 450°F and cooked it until it reached my desired doneness. I let the steak rest for 5 minutes before cutting and serving.
