Yep. Kim Kardashian’s Mac & Cheese. Actually a great tasting cheesy baked Mac & Cheese with tons of flavor thanks to all the different cheeses
Kim Kardashian’s Mac and Cheese. Yes you read that right. Ugh… I am so not a fan of her or her family, but being a foodie, I had no choice but to try her recipe. I had no idea how it would turn out but it’s kind of hard to screw up a Mac & Cheese.
To my surprise, I was amazed at how good this Macaroni and Cheese was and I mean like really good.
It’s unclear if she is watching her figure but I modified the recipe a bit to include more cheese. I mean what is a good Mac and Cheese without a lot of cheese right?
In my humble opinion, what makes this macaroni and cheese recipe delicious, is all the various types of cheeses that are used. They really work well together and help bring the whole dish together.
Gruyère Substitutes
Gruyère Cheese can be pretty pricey depending on where you live. If you don’t want to spend the money for just this pasta bake recipe you can substitute for a different kind of cheese. Just make sure it’s a good melting cheese. And also remember it will change the overall flavor of this dish.
I love a good Mac & Cheese baked in a casserole. There’s just something about the texture that I prefer over the stovetop variety.
And if you are one of the few out there that have never heard of Kim Kardashian or her family, don’t worry, you’re not missing much.
If you really feel like learning more about Kim and her family I would suggest looking them up here Kim Kardashian on Wiki.
I often get asked why add ground mustard to the cheese sauce. Basically the ground mustard makes the cheese “cheesier”.
What is Al Dente
When making Mac and Cheese, it’s important to cook the pasta al dente to ensure the best texture possible.
If you are not familiar with the term “al dente”, it means cooking the pasta so it’s still chewy and form and that it will hold its shape when the sauce is added to it.
