Discover the easy and healthy way to cook quinoa with Sous Vide. Get perfectly cooked, flavorful quinoa every time.
I was looking for a healthy side to go with my steaks and was tired of making rice so I made some Quinoa in my Sous Vide.
Not only is it super easy to make using the Sous Vide method, it’s also a healthier alternative to rice.
Benefits of Quinoa over Rice
- Quinoa has less calories and carbs than rice.
- Quinoa has more protein than rice.
- Quinoa they say, keeps you full for longer than rice.
- Quinoa can help with weight loss.
Recipe Variation
For a little more flavor you can use low sodium chicken broth instead of the water. You can also add other seasonings or aromatics directly into the bag to enhance the flavor of the quinoa.
Why Sous Vide
Cooking quinoa using Sous Vide provides precise temperature control, ensuring that your quinoa is perfectly cooked every time. This method eliminates the risk of undercooking or overcooking.
Unfortunately, it takes much longer to make Quinoa in your Sous Vide than the traditional way of boiling it. Making Quinoa on the stovetop takes 15-20 minutes while making it in the Sous Vide can take up to 1 hour.
