This Delicious Tri-Tip Sandwich is the best way to use up your leftover Tri-Tip. The secret sauce is a must with these sandwiches!
I had some leftover Tri-Tip and decided to make these delicious sandwiches. Super easy to make especially when you have a bunch of leftover tri-tip you want to use up.
As with most sandwich recipes, none of what I put on the recipe card is written in stone. Feel free to mix things up to your liking.
For example, you can use a different kind of bread or not use the secret sauce at all and substitute for some BBQ Sauce.
What is Tri-Tip
Tri-Tip is a triangular-shaped piece of beef located at the bottom of the sirloin region of the cow. It’s pretty lean but has just enough fat to keep it juicy and flavorful during cooking.
This cut of meat gained popularity in California during the 1950s and is now a favorite across the US and probably a few other countries.
The secret sauce I am including on the recipe card was inspired by Celebrity Pitmaster Kent Rollins. I say inspired because I took some liberties to tweak the quantities to my liking.
Feel free to do the same. It’s an awesome sauce that pairs well with this tri-tip sandwich.
When it comes to re-heating the tri-tip, assuming you want to re-heat it, I would suggest putting it in a toaster oven for 7-10 minutes at 325ยฐF until it reaches your desired temperature.
As a last resort, you can also reheat the meat in the microwave. I personally try to avoid using the microwave as much as possible but use what you got!
