I love apple chicken sausage but I don’t make recipes with it very often. The last time I did was when I made my Chicken Sausage Pizza. This time around I wanted to mix it with some pasta and came up with this Chicken Sausage Pasta Bake recipe.

I used Ziti pasta but you can use whatever kind you want. I usually keep a stockpile of all the different types of pasta and Ziti seemed like a good choice. If you want to make this delicious pasta recipe even easier, instead of using 2 different types of tomatoes, you can use jarred pasta sauce.

Some of you may not care for chicken sausage so if that is the case, you can tweak this recipe to your liking. Personally, I like the sweet and savory flavor of apple chicken sausage but you can easily substitute it with Italian sausage, turkey sausage, etc.

When making pasta, it’s important to cook the pasta al dente to ensure to best texture possible. If you are not familiar with the term “al dente”, it means cooking the pasta so it’s still chewy and firm and that it will hold its shape when the sauce is added to it.
