I love making bread. I think I like making bread because I love eating bread! And this easy to make Cheddar Parmesan Bread is just that. Easy & Delicious!
This recipe is not for traditional bread though as no flour or yeast is used to make this delicious cheese bread. This recipe uses tried and true Bisquick!
Feel free to substitute the cheddar cheese for whatever you have on hand. I think a nice pepper jack cheese would be an awesome substitute! Since this recipe has only a few ingredients there's not much more you can substitute.
🥄 Bisquick Substitute
If you don't have any Bisquick on-hand, you can make your own by combining 1 Cup All Purpose Flour, 1 ½ teaspoons Baking Powder, ½ teaspoon Salt and 1 tablespoon melted unsalted butter (or vegetable oil).

This was really good. We are traveling in our RV, and I wanted a bread to go with a spaghetti dinner. This was so easy. I didn’t have plain oregano so I used Italian seasoning. I probably added extra cheese because we love cheese. I didn’t have a cake pan so I used an iron skillet. My husband raved. He couldn’t believe it was made with Bisquick. Definitely a 5 star rating.

Can you make this in a loaf pan instead of a cake pan? Will the oven temp or cook time be different?
Chef Rodney
I've never made this one in a loaf pan but I don't see any reason why you couldn't. I would guess the cooking time might take longer because of the thickness. I would watch so the top doesn't burn by the time the middle is cooked. You might have to tent it with foil towards the end if that is the case.

This has become our Go-To bread when we have soup...which is about 2x a week. It's so quick, easy and good! Such a nice crunch! I have baked it in a loaf pan. I decreased the temp to 385*. Baked it for about 30 minutes, covered with foil, and baked it another 10-15 minutes. I also sprinkled additional cheddar cheese on top before baking .
