I love dipping my Egg Rolls in Sweet & Sour sauce. Unfortunately, I didn't have any on hand so I decided to make this gluten-free version of the sauce. Quick & Easy, just to way I like it!
The nice thing about this sauce recipe is that not only is it Gluten Free, but it takes only 5 minutes to make. Since there is only a little over 1 cup of ingredients the sauce comes to a boil pretty quickly.
Not familiar with Xanthan Gum? It's typically used when making gluten free baked goods. Xanthan Gum helps your baked goods hold together instead of turning crumbly. Xanthan Gum is also believed to be healthier than Cornstarch as the latter contains a lot of carbs and calories.
💭 Ingredient Substitution
If you don't have any Xanthan Gum on hand, you can substitute for an equal amount of Cornstarch.
In addition to using this delicious sweet & sour sauce to dip your egg rolls or spring rolls in, you can also use it for dipping your chicken nuggets, french fries or even put it on a salad or on a sandwich. The possibilities are almost endless.
