If you’ve never grilled your Salmon on a Cedar Plank you have no idea what you are missing. The cedar enhances the flavor of the salmon fillets while providing a safety barrier between the grill and the flesh.

While this recipe is pretty straightforward to make, you will need to plan ahead. The cedar planks need to soak in water for at least an hour before they can be used or they will burn. As long as you plan accordingly, this is the best way to enjoy Salmon Fillets.

How to use Cedar Planks
- Before using the cedar planks, soak them for at least 1 hour. You can soak more planks than you need and freeze the rest.
- Place the cedar planks on the preheated grill for 2 minutes on each side before using them.
- For best results, cook the food slowly over low indirect heat not exceeding 350°F.

Salmon Storage Times
Raw Salmon will last 1-2 days in the refrigerator and 6-8 months in the freezer. Cooked Salmon will last 3-4 days in the refrigerator and 2-6 months in the freezer.
