For Memorial Day Weekend this year, I decided to grill up some Pork and Pineapple skewers on this grill. As you would expect super easy to make.
I've made these grilled skewers using both pork loin and tenderloin so feel free to use whatever you prefer or have on hand. Much of the flavor comes from the awesome marinade.
Personally I like to let the pork marinate for a couple of hours before grilling so they can absorb as much of the flavor as possible but you can grill them right away if needed. If you are using wooden skewers this might be a good time to get them ready as well.
💭 Ingredient Substitution
I usually have sherry on hand so that is what I used for this recipe but you can use any kind of white cooking wine when making this split pea soup recipe. You will not notice a difference in flavor when all is said and done.
🥃 Alcohol Warning
Please take into consideration that some of the alcohol in this recipe may not completely burn off and the remains could be of significant concern to recovering alcoholics, parents, and others who have ethical or religious reasons for avoiding alcohol. If you've ever wondered what part of the pig the Loin comes from check out the picture below. Surprised?
💭 Recipe Tip
If you are using wooden skewers to make this recipe, it's VERY important that you soak them in water for a couple of hours before using them so they don't catch on fire.
If you don't have any peanut oil on hand you can substitute it for another oil with a high smoke point like corn oil or canola oil. You can also use olive oil in a pinch.

These Grilled Pork and Pineapple Skewers are the best. My family love pork so my husband decided to make them and put them on the BBQ. They were delicious. The marinade was the key to these delicious skewers.
