Hot Ham and Swiss Sandwiches

I’m always looking for an easy-to-make recipe after a long day’s work. After scouring the fridge I found a few ingredients that needed to be used before they expired. That’s when I decided to make Hot Ham and Swiss Sandwiches.

Hot Ham and Swiss Sandwiches

This sandwich recipe is also very versatile. You can substitute almost every ingredient listed on the recipe card. It may not be a ham & swiss sandwich anymore but this should serve as inspiration so you can make your very own hot sandwich.

The only ingredient you may not have on hand for this recipe is the poppy seeds. Adding poppy seeds to the sandwich spread will add a bit of a crunch that contrasts with the soft textures of the Swiss cheese and Ham.

Hot Ham and Swiss Sandwiches

What is unique about this recipe is that once assembled, you bake the sandwiches in the oven for 20-25 minutes which results in a nice hot and ooey gooey sandwich.

You just need to make sure the cheese is totally melted to your liking to enjoy the full effect of this hot sandwich recipe.
