I’ve wanted to try and make burgers in my Instant Pot Pressure Cooker for some time now but never got around to it until now.

I know it sounds a little weird making hamburgers in a pressure cooker but I know some people who exclusively use their Instant Pot for cooking. So I had to try it for them.

This recipe is more of a how-to-make burgers in a Pressure Cooker versus the burger patties themselves. I’m using simple seasoning but you can make the patties however you want. Cook time should not change.

How to Handle Raw Beef

  • Thaw frozen ground beef on a plate on the lowest shelf of the refrigerator, to avoid dripping onto other foods.
  • Keep raw and ready-to-eat meats separate.
  • Wash hands thoroughly before and after handling raw ground beef. Wash cutting boards, bowls, and utensils used to prepare raw ground beef with hot soapy water and rinse well.
  • Use separate plates to carry raw ground beef patties to the cooking area and cooked patties to the serving area.
  • Use a Thermometer to ensure Ground Beef Reaches the Safely Cooked Internal Temperature of 160ยฐF.

The one thing I will point out though is that these burgers will not have any pink in them. This is because they are pressure cooked.

May not be a big deal for some but I know some of you will think the burgers will be overcooked. Not the case at all. Done properly these burgers will be cooked to juice perfection!

These hamburgers are so easy and fast to make. The Worcestershire sauce gives these hamburgers a great taste.
