I love making this Lime Chicken Marinade. Not only is it super easy to make with common ingredients, you only need to marinate your chicken for a minimum of 30 minutes.
When it comes time to cook the chicken, make sure you throw out the marinade liquid leftover in the bag. Do not use it to baste the chicken as it contains raw chicken juices.
The USDA recommends an internal temperature of 165°F when cooking chicken. I always use a thermometer to check the internal temperature of meats to ensure it is safe to eat.
You may be asking yourself if it’s worth the time and effort to marinate your chicken. I personally like to use a marinade every chance I get. I feel like it adds another dimension to the chicken.
Sure some days we don’t have much time on our hands and need to get cooking ASAP but if you plan accordingly, you can take your chicken to a whole new level with a marinade like this one.
