strawberry banana bread

Yes, another banana bread recipe. I bought a bunch of bananas and they all happened to get ripe at the same time. I really like the combo of strawberry and banana so why not a Strawberry Banana Bread?

If you don’t want all the strawberries to drop to the bottom of the loaf, make sure you flour the strawberries before adding them to the batter. You want to make sure you get a strawberry with every bite!

Recipe Tips

  • You can use frozen strawberries if needed. Do not thaw them out before adding them to the batter
  • Use forks or a potato masher to mash the ripe bananas

The best bananas for banana bread are when they are overripe, not yellow but black. Or they’re at least streaked with black/brown. The darker the better.

If you can’t find overripe bananas, you can speed up the process by putting the bananas in a paper bag along with an apple and loosely folding down the top. The bananas should ripen in just a day or two using this method.

I love banana bread. And this one is even better than I imagined. It was very moist and the strawberries gave it a wonderful taste.
