The best bananas for banana bread are when they are overripe, not yellow but black. Or they're at least streaked with black/brown. The darker the better. If you can't find overripe bananas, you can speed up the process by putting the bananas in a paper bag along with an apple and loosely fold down the top. You will need the following ingredients to make this moist banana bread: Unsalted Butter, White Sugar, Eggs, Vanilla Extract, All Purpose Flour, Baking Soda, Salt, Sour Cream and ripe Bananas.

Preheat oven to 350°F.
In a large mixing bowl, mix the melted butter and sugar. Add the eggs and vanilla, mix well. Combine the flour, baking soda, and salt, stir into the butter mixture until smooth.
Fold in the sour cream and bananas.
Spread evenly into the prepared loaf pan.
Bake for 60 minutes, or until a toothpick comes out clean.
Let the loaf cool in the pan for 10 minutes before moving to a wire rack to cool completely.
