If you own an Air Fryer this is the easiest way to make crispy bacon. Ready in about 12 minutes without the mess!
bacon cooked in the Vortex Air Fryer

It seems like I make bacon at least once a week so making it in my Air Fryer was a real time saver. In roughly 10 to 12 minutes you have crisp delicious bacon to eat or use for other recipes.

As you can imagine there are many different makes and models of air fryers out there. Some use baskets while others, like the Instant Pot Vortex Plus Air Fryer Oven uses baking sheets. Some pressure cookers even have air fryer lids.

The purpose of this recipe is to show you how easy and quick it is to make bacon in an Air Fryer. Depending on the model you have, you will need to adapt accordingly, meaning the use of baskets vs. baking sheets, etc.

The cook time listed on the recipe card assumes a regular cut of bacon. You adjust the cooking time based on how crispy you want your bacon.

Less crispy cooks in approximately 8 minutes but if you want yours super crispy I recommend 12 minutes or so. If you are using a thicker cut of bacon you may have to add another minute or two.

    Equipment

    • Air Fryer

    Ingredients

    • 1 lb Bacon
    • Ground Black Pepper, optional

    Instructions

    • Preheat the air fryer to 350°F.
    • Place the bacon in the air fryer in a single layer. Depending on the amount of bacon, you may have to cook them in batches. Optionally sprinkle ground black pepper on the bacon.
    • Cook for 8-12 minutes depending on how crisp you want your bacon, flipping the bacon slices over halfway through the cook time using tongs.

    Notes

Thicker cuts of bacon may need more time in the Air Fryer. I find 14-15 minutes for thick cut bacon makes them nice and cripsy.

I tried this method of cooking bacon in my air fryer and I will never do it any other way from now on. Super idea.
