A delicious Banana Bread Muffins with Chocolate Chips recipe that you have to try! Fast & Easy to make and absolutely delish!
I love Banana Bread. I love it so much that I’ve posted quite a few Banana Bread recipes in the past. While I could’ve made a regular loaf this time around, I decided to make these Banana Bread Muffins with Chocolate Chips as we were headed out on a road trip and it’s much easier to eat a muffin while driving than a big slice from a loaf. At least that’s my excuse.
Now I don’t want to get into the debate of nuts or no nuts in Banana Bread but this recipe yields about 24 nice sized muffins. So I decided to make half with nothing in them and the other half with chocolate chips.
Prefer nuts to chocolate chips, easy substitute. For me though, there is something about the flavor of bananas and chocolate that is simply irresistible.
Next time I might make mini muffins. Can you imagine bite-size Banana Bread treats? The problem is I would probably eat too many and make myself sick. Wouldn’t be the first time!
How to pick the right Bananas
The best bananas for banana bread are when they are overripe, not yellow but black. Or they’re at least streaked with black/brown. The darker the better. If you can’t find overripe bananas, you can speed up the process by putting the bananas in a paper bag along with an apple and loosely fold down the top. The bananas should ripen in just a day or two using this method.
