While Starbucks is mostly known for its Gourmet Coffee, they also offer tons of delicious baked goods. We've posted Copycat Recipes from Starbucks in the past and have never been disappointed. Why spend a bunch of money on their baked goods (and coffee) when you can make it in the comfort of your own kitchen.

Adding nuts to banana bread is always a highly debated issue. Some love their banana bread with nuts while others despise it. Personally I can take it or leave it. I've made it both with and without walnuts and this banana bread is delicious either way.

    🥛 Buttermilk Substitution

If you don't have Buttermilk on hand, you can use this trick as a substitute: Add one tablespoon of lemon juice to a measuring cup. Add milk and fill to the 1 cup measurement line. Stir the mixture together and let sit for 5 minutes. Since this recipe calls for 2 tablespoons you will need to adjust accordingly.

🍌 How to pick the right Bananas

The best bananas for banana bread are when they are overripe, not yellow but black. Or they're at least streaked with black/brown. The darker the better. If you can't find overripe bananas, you can speed up the process by putting the bananas in a paper bag along with an apple and loosely fold down the top. The bananas should ripen in just a day or two using this method.
