kfc bbq baked beans

I was looking for a quick and easy BBQ Baked Beans recipe to go with some chicken I was making one night and decided to make this Copycat recipe from KFC.

ingredients in baking dish

If you don’t already know, KFC no longer offers baked beans as a side dish. They claim supply chain issues. No biggie. Now you can replicate it at home!

When I say quick & easy, it really doesn’t get much easier than this. A few simple ingredients and about 30 minutes in the oven. Even beginner cooks can make this dish.

Another thing I love about this baked bean recipe is that you can pretty much use any brand of baked beans you want and the same goes for the BBQ sauce.

Since we are adding some brown sugar and bacon to the cans of baked beans, I would go too far off the reservation or you will mess up the flavor profile.

If you struggle to make bacon perfectly, I’ve put together a short tutorial on How to Make Perfect Bacon – 3 Ways. Check it out! My preferred method is baking it in the oven. If you happen to have an Air Fryer you can also make your bacon in it by following my Air Fryer Bacon recipe.

Since the goal of a Copycat Recipe is for it to taste exactly like the original, it’s only natural to rate this recipe against the original. This Copycat recipe rates a solid 8 out of 10 in my opinion.
