    fish tostadas with crema

I love making tostadas because they are super simple to make. I usually make Beef Tostadas but this time I decided to make these easy Fish Tostadas with a little homemade crema.

    💭 Ingredient Substitution

I like to use Cod Fillets when making these fish tostadas as they flake really nicely but if you don't have any on hand you can use any other type of white fish that flakes easily. Tilapia is a good option if you like the flavor of that fish.

    💭 Recipe Variation

If the simple crema recipe I include on the recipe card doesn't do it for you, I suggest you give my delicious Garlic Lime Crema recipe a try. A great crema that goes good on just about anything! My Spicy Fish Taco Sauce is another great option!

If you don't have any tostada shells on hand, don't worry. You can crisp up some corn tortillas in the oven or an air fryer if you have one. You could also fry them up in a skillet with some oil. In a pinch, you could use flour tortillas but you really won't be staying true to authentic tostadas.

The thing I love about recipes like this one is how quick and easy they are to make and how versatile they are. The recipe I list below is pretty basic. You can add as many different toppings as you want. For example, my wife likes to add some hot sauce on her fish tostadas for that extra kick.
