This Fantastic Orange Chicken recipe is one of my favorite chicken meals to make in my crockpot. Almost as good as Panda Express.
Back in the day, one of my guilty pleasures was going to Panda Express and having their signature Orange Chicken. If you’ve never had Panda Express Orange Chicken you are seriously missing out! I love Orange Chicken so much that I made this Fantastic Orange Chicken.
To make this Orange Chicken you will need a slow cooker or a pressure cooker. Since most of you probably don’t have a pressure cooker yet (get one!), I adapted the original recipe to use a slow cooker.
This chicken dish is just fantastic. It’s sweet with a nice taste of orange. If you want a little more kick, simply add a little more Sriracha. This dish is best served over rice or noodles.
How to Handle Raw Chicken
- Leave the chicken in the fridge until ready to use.
- Be careful of dripping juices. Clean up immediately.
- Do not wash raw chicken (prevents cross-contamination).
- Wash all utensils and cutting boards.
- Wash your hands after handling raw chicken.
Slow Cooker Tip
Try to resist as much as possible the temptation to open the lid while it’s cooking as the slow cooker loses heat. By just opening the lid to stir the contents can make the internal temperature drop by 10ยฐF to 15ยฐF.
Serving Suggestions
You can serve this delicious orange chicken on a bed of white rice or brown rice. You can also serve the orange chicken with some chow mein noodles or sauteed vegetables.
