seasoned baked chicken wings

Lately, I’ve been on a roll with using dry rubs instead of tossing my chicken wings in sauce. Don’t get me wrong, I still enjoy saucy wings, but I like to experiment with different flavors occasionally.

I recently made Lemon Pepper Chicken Wings which turned out great but I wanted something with a little more kick. So I made these Baked Chicken Wings packed with a punch!

When looking at the recipe card you are probably saying to yourself that there are way too many spices. Well after some trial and error, this combination really did it for me. Feel free to modify if you want but expect the flavor profile to change.

Since I was making a big batch, I needed to bake them in the oven. If you prefer you can make the wings in the Air Fryer. I suggest 400°F for about 30 minutes. As with most air fryer recipes, I would toss the basket or flip the wings over to ensure an even cook.

I like to toss my wings in a little olive before seasoning to help the seasoning stick to the wings but this is optional. At a minimum, make sure you pat the wings dry with a paper towel before adding anything to them.

Another thing I like to do is once the chicken wings are seasoned, I like them to sit at room temperature for no more than 30 minutes before baking them. This will help make the wings nice and crispy. Again an optional step but I prefer my wings this way.
