I had some applesauce that I needed to use up before it expired so I thought to myself, why not make some Applesauce Muffins?
These muffins are very easy to make as you would expect and calls for simple ingredients you probably already have in your pantry.
Ingredient Substitution
You can use 3/4 cups of Splenda – or any artificial sweetener – instead of the white sugar.

I like to add raisins and chopped nuts (pecans) to my muffins but this time around I left out the pecans as I was sharing these with someone who has a nut allergy.

Come to find out a lot of people don’t care for raisins. My spouse is the perfect example. If you are someone doesn’t care for raisins, you can leave those out as well.
Tips
- Don’t you hate it when raisins get stuck together in a big clump? To unstick the raisins, wet your hands with a little water then work the raisins apart.
