Instant Pot Applesauce

This Applesauce recipe is super easy to make in your Instant Pot. Versatile enough that you can use your favorite apples!

Instant Pot Applesauce

I’m sure the first question you are all asking yourselves is why make Applesauce in the Instant Pot versus the old school way. Well, I used the Instant Pot for a couple of reasons.

First I wanted to see how easy it would be to make applesauce in the Instant Pot and secondly, I wanted to see how it would taste.

Given how few ingredients are in this recipe, the type of Apple you use will affect the taste. Some apples are naturally sweeter than others so depending on what kind of apple you use, you might need to add some brown sugar or honey to sweeten it up a bit. I’ve used both Fuji and Granny Smith apples with great success.

This decision boils down to personal preference. I personally don’t like apple peel in my applesauce, so I usually peel them. If it’s easier on you and you don’t mind the peel, then leave it on. Most of it will get incorporated once you put the mixture through the blending process.
