    Almost Better than Sex Cake

I said Almost Better than Sex Poke Cake. That's how good this cake is. While I could've called it Chocolate Caramel Poke cake or something similar, it probably wouldn't have gotten your interest.

Everybody loves a good poke cake so how can you go wrong with chocolate, caramel and heath bar chips? You can't. Trust me, this poke cake will quickly become a favorite.

    Almost Better than Sex Cake

What? Never heard of poke cake? A poke cake is a cake that you poke holes in after you bake it. I wish I had an article to share with you about this, but no dice. So you will have to trust me on this one.

The holes are then filled with a filling like condensed milk, pureed fruit, chocolate cream, or pudding to add extra flavor in each bite. The possibilities are endless!

This Poke Cake is a chocolate cake filled with Caramel Ice Cream topping topped with whipped cream and heath toffee bits, which is basically toffee bits. How yummy is that? Caramel and Chocolate? How can you possibly resist this recipe?

What I think makes this poke cake is the heath toffee bits. If you happen to live in an area where you don't have access to heath toffee bits, you can use toffee bits or you can make your own by processing a toffee bar in your food processor.

🎂 What is a Poke Cake

I was curious where poke cakes come from. I couldn't find much history about them except it looks like it goes back to the early '70's?

But you don't have to be a brain surgeon to figure out what a poke cake is. It's a cake that you poke holes in after baking. The holes are then filled with condensed milk, pureed fruit, chocolate cream, or pudding to add a little more flavor into every bite.
