Now you can make your very own McDonald’s Egg McMuffin with this super easy-to-make copycat recipe. Only takes 10 minutes to make!
If you like Egg McMuffins from McDonald’s, then this copycat recipe is for you. A couple of simple ingredients you probably already have on hand and an egg ring.
If you don’t already own an egg ring I suggest you get one. They are pretty cheap and don’t take up a lot of room. Just make sure you 3.5 inches in diameter as that’s the same size as English Muffins.
You might be thinking that it’s a waste of money buying an egg ring just to make these McMuffins but you can also use them to make Eggs Benedict, Hamburger Patties, Poached Eggs, Mini Pancakes or even Omelets.
These Egg McMuffins were so easy to make that next time I am going to substitute the Canadian bacon for a sausage pattie and make a Sausage McMuffin with Egg.
Tips
- If you don’t feel like buying an egg ring, you can use the lid from a mason jar. The wide-mouth mason jar will be the closest in diameter to the size of the English muffin.
Copycat Rating
Since the goal of a Copycat Recipe is for it to taste exactly like the original, it’s only natural to rate this recipe against the original. This Copycat recipe rates a solid 9 out of 10 in my opinion.

This egg McMuffin is exactly like the one at the restaurant. I did use the egg ring as suggested and it worked very well. Love this recipe.
