The English muffin pizzas are a fantastic option for a quick and easy meal or snack. A great option for the kids after school. And so much less work than a regular homemade pizza.
Ingredient Substitution
You can use pizza sauce instead of tomato sauce if you have some handy. If you do decide to use pizza sauce you will not need to add the basil and oregano as pizza sauce is already seasoned.
Or if you are feeling adventurous, you can make our Homemade Pizza Sauce.
Additionally, if you don’t have any mozzarella cheese on hand you can substitute for another good white melting cheese like Monterey Jack Cheese.
The pizza toppings I list on the recipe card are some of the most common pizza toppings but feel free to be adventurous and create your very own personal pizza. Did someone say Pineapple and Ham (aka Hawaiian Pizza)?
