    easy weeknight turkey chili

I love making Chili and this Turkey Chili is super easy to make on a weeknight. While some of my more involved chili recipes can take over 30 minutes to prep and several hours to cook, this turkey chili recipe takes less than 15 minutes to prep and can be ready in as little as 2 hours in your slow cooker. A great dump-and-run chili recipe.

Not only is this chili recipe super easy to make in your crockpot but it is also very versatile. You can substitute the ground turkey for some ground beef. I love black beans but this easy chili recipe is equally good with some red kidney beans or pinto beans. Just make sure whatever beans you use to rinse and drain them very well before adding them to the slow cooker.

    💭 Slow Cooker Tip

Try to resist as much as possible the temptation to open the lid while it's cooking as the slow cooker loses heat. By just opening the lid to stir the contents can make the internal temperature drop by 10°F to 15°F.

    🔪 Equipment Needed

You will need a slow cooker to make this delicious turkey chili recipe.

The toppings listed on the recipe card are totally optional. You can use all, none or some, or use something else. I know some folks like to add a dollop of sour cream to their chili but I'm personally not a fan of that. And if you are not into spicy chili, don't fret. This turkey chili is not spicy. You can even tone it down a little more if you want by using only 1 tablespoon of chili powder instead of the two listed on the recipe card below.

The only thing I can say about this recipe is that it is the best chili that I have had in a long time. Bravo.
