These sweet potato planks are super easy to make. All you need to do is peel them and cut into the desired size and season them. Once that is done, you simply throw them on the grill and cook until fork tender.

Cooking time will vary from grill to grill. Some grills can easily get to high heat and maintain it while others may fluctuate. Where you place the wedges on the grill can alter cooking time as well. Pellet Cookers have what is known as “Hot Spots”.

The size of the wedges will also alter the amount of time to cook them. Obviously smaller wedges will cook much quicker than the larger ones so make sure you keep an eye on them and take them off the grill once fork tender.

You can eat these delicious Sweet Potato Planks as-is or serve them with some dipping sauces. I would recommend my Sriracha Ranch Dipping Sauce, Wendy’s Ranch Dipping Sauce or my French Fry Dipping Sauce.

Grilled Sweet Potato Planks are one of my family’s favourite potatoes. Did them on the bbq according to this recipe and they were scrumptious. We used the French Fry dipping sauce recipe from this site which was delicious.
