Almost weekly I make a crispy chicken salad or a taco salad which both require ranch dressing. This quick & easy recipe can be whipped up as I make either one of those salads.

In addition to using this sauce on your salad, the most common use is as a dipping sauce. Great for dipping your French Fries or Chicken Nuggets. The possibilities are endless.

If you don’t have Buttermilk on hand, you can use this trick as a substitute: Add one tablespoon of lemon juice to a measuring cup. Add milk and fill to the 1 cup measurement line. Stir the mixture together and let sit for 5 minutes. Since this recipe calls for 1/4 cup you will need to adjust accordingly.

Another option is to use a cultured buttermilk blend. All you need to do is add water. I was very skeptical at first but in a pinch it works great!

This Copycat Wendy’s Ranch Dipping Sauce is delicious. I loved the buttermilk and the rest of the ingredients really made this dipping sauce very creamy. My family even used it as a dressing on their salad.
