This is a great Copycat recipe for Wendy’s Ranch Sauce. Great on salads or for dipping French Fries or Chicken Tenders.
We use a lot of Ranch Dressing in my house. Whether it’s for a salad or as a dipping sauce, we go through tons of ranch sauce. And now you can make it at home with this copycat ranch dipping sauce recipe from Wendy’s.
Many people don’t realize just how easy it is to make homemade sauces and dressings. Most sauce recipes just involve mixing a bunch of ingredients in a bowl.
Just like this recipe. Others may involve boiling on the stovetop but not this ranch dipping sauce recipe.
Almost weekly I make a crispy chicken salad or a taco salad which both require ranch dressing. This quick & easy recipe can be whipped up as I make either one of those salads.
In addition to using this sauce on your salad, the most common use is as a dipping sauce. Great for dipping your French Fries or Chicken Nuggets. The possibilities are endless.
Buttermilk Substitution
If you don’t have Buttermilk on hand, you can use this trick as a substitute: Add one tablespoon of lemon juice to a measuring cup. Add milk and fill to the 1 cup measurement line. Stir the mixture together and let sit for 5 minutes. Since this recipe calls for 1/4 cup you will need to adjust accordingly.
Another option is to use a cultured buttermilk blend. All you need to do is add water. I was very skeptical at first but in a pinch it works great!
Apparently there are many people out there that do not like ranch dressing. Not sure the reason but if you love ranch dressing as I do, you need to add this recipe to your rotation.
