Mini Wonton Salsa Baskets

I’ve been spending a lot of time in the kitchen lately testing and developing recipes for a Superbowl party that I host every year. These Mini Wonton Salsa Baskets are so easy to make and the perfect game day finger food.

This appetizer recipe is also very versatile as you can modify the filling ingredients to your liking. We love our Mexican food here in Southern California which is why I settled on this combination of beans and salsa.

Salsas come in different levels of heat so make sure you use the one that you and your guests will most likely enjoy.

If you are already serving other spicy appetizers like buffalo chicken wings on game day, you may want to tone down the salsa used for this recipe.

The same goes for the cheese. I actually prefer a Mexican Cheese Blend but realize that it may be hard to locate in some areas so I decided to list what is probably one of the most common cheeses out there, cheddar cheese.
