Monte Cristo Sliders
A fun twist on the classic Monte Cristo sandwich. These sliders are the real deal! Easy to make and ready in under 30 minutes.
I love a good Monte Cristo Sandwich. As I was having a few guests over, I decided it would be easier to make sliders instead of individual sandwiches.
If you’ve never heard of Monte Cristos, it’s basically a ham, turkey and cheese sandwich dipped in beaten eggs and grilled or fried until golden brown.
It is then served sprinkled with powdered sugar and often with a side of jam or preserves for dipping.
I decided to bake these Monte Cristo sliders instead of frying them. Since all the buns need to remain attached I figured it would be easier this way.
As I mentioned above, a Monte Cristo is typically served with powdered sugar and a side of berry preserves. If that seems a little much, you can skip that part but you have no idea what you would be missing!
