    pecan pie brownies

My mother-in-law makes several pecan pies during the Holidays and my wife loves chocolate brownies so it was a no-brainer for me to make these Pecan Pie Chocolate Brownies.

If you've made pecan pie before, you will find this delicious brownie recipe super easy to make as you use a pre-made brownie mix. It really doesn't get much easier than that!

    🥜 Nut Allergies

This recipe may contain peanuts or other nuts and seeds as one of its ingredients. Please take the appropriate precautions.

Having made this brownie recipe a few times now I like to use a 9x9 baking dish. You will have a little extra pecan pie filling using the quantities listed below so keep that in mind when making this recipe.

The quantity of pecan pie filling included with this recipe works best in a 9x13 baking dish but you will have to double the brownie batter to get the right thickness. Make sure you plan accordingly if you are going to make these awesome brownies.

In addition to the ingredients listed on the recipe card, you will also need the ingredients to make the brownies. While this may differ from brand to brand, it usually involves eggs, water and vegetable oil. the package should also tell you baking times based on the size and type of baking dish you use.

📋 What Ingredients do I need

You will need the following ingredients to make this Pecan Pie Chocolate Brownies recipe (see recipe card for quantities): Chocolate Brownie Mix, White Sugar, Light Corn Syrup, Eggs, Unsalted Butter, Vanilla Extract and Pecans.

🥣 How to make Pecan Pie Chocolate Brownies

Preheat the oven according to the directions on the brownie package.
Prepare the batter according to the directions on the package. Pour the brownie batter into a greased 9x9 pan and bake for 20 minutes.
Meanwhile, in a saucepan, whisk together the sugar, corn syrup, eggs, butter and vanilla extract. Cook over medium-high heat stirring continuously.
Once the filling in the saucepan has thickened, about 15 minutes, stir in the pecans and continue to cook for 2-3 minutes. The consistency should be loose enough to pour over the brownies.
When the brownies have finished pre-baking, remove them from the oven and pour the pecan pie filling over the top spreading it out to cover the brownies completely.
Bake for another 15-20 minutes or until the filling only jiggles slightly in the middle.
Let the brownies cool to room temperature before cutting.

OMG what a recipe. I could have eaten half of it at one sitting. I love the fact that you use the boxed brownies, which makes it faster if you are in a hurry. For anyone who loves brownies this is a must and a keeper for sure.
