I don't make blonde brownies (aka Blondies) very often but when I do this Copycat recipe from Applebee's is my go-to recipe. I'm sure if you make this recipe you will agree.
Making this blondie recipe is no different than making your typical brownie recipe. If you have a nut allergy you can omit the chopped pecans.
For a fun substitution, you could use peanut butter morsels or even some butterscotch chips instead of chocolate chips.
You can eat these delicious brownies by themselves but how good would they be with a nice scoop of ice cream? Yummy!
🥜 Nut Allergies
This recipe may contain peanuts or other nuts and seeds as one of its ingredients. Please take the appropriate precautions.
Applebee's is a Grill + Bar restaurant chain focused on casual dining, with mainstream American dishes such as salads, chicken, pasta and burgers. All Applebee's restaurants feature a bar area.
Unlike some of my other brownie recipes, the batter for this blonde brownie recipe is quite thick. It almost has the consistency of peanut butter. So if that is what you end up with then you know you made it correctly!
💭 Ingredient Substitution
You can also use white chocolate chips for this copycat brownie recipe from Applebee's. I don't always have white chocolate chips on hand so I often use regular chocolate chips.
⭐ Copycat Rating
Since the goal of a Copycat Recipe is for it to taste exactly like the original, it's only natural to rate this recipe against the original. This Copycat recipe rates a solid 8 out of 10 in my opinion.
