
This Tuna Salad Sandwich with Tajin Seasoning is NOT what my mom packed for my lunch when I was a kid. This is a Gourmet Style Tuna Sandwich.
I remember growing up going to school with my little brown bag and for whatever reason, it was one of three different types of sandwiches: cheese with miracle whip and lettuce, baloney with mustard or a tuna fish sandwich with lettuce.

You are probably wondering what is so special about this Tuna Salad Sandwich recipe. I think it’s all about the seasoning.
Sure you can make your Tuna Salad using a can and some mayonnaise but what fun is that? The Tajin Seasoning is the rock star of this recipe.
What is Tajin Seasoning
Tajin Seasoning is a simple seasoning mix consisting of dried and ground red chilies, sea salt and lime juice. Depending on where you live you might not be able to find it at your local grocery store but I am sure you can find it online at Amazon if you need to.

Ingredient Substitution
Depending on where you live, finding Oaxaca Cheese might prove to be a little challenging. You could substitute the Oaxaca Cheese for Queso Fresco, Cotija or American White Cheddar Cheese.

You will need the following ingredients to make this delicious Tuna Salad Sandwich with Tajin recipe (see recipe card for quantities): White Tuna, Celery Stalks, Roma Tomato, Red Onion, Oaxaca Cheese, Mayonnaise and Tajin Seasoning.
How to Make this Tuna Salad Sandwich with Tajin
- In a medium bowl, mix tuna, celery, tomato, onion and mayonnaise. Season with the Tajin seasoning.
- Place a 1/4 of the tuna salad on your favorite bread, and top with 2 ounces of cheese.

Ingredients
- 12 oz White Tuna in Water, Chunky Style
- 2 Celery Stick, diced
- 1 Roma Tomato, diced
- ¼ cup Red Onion, diced
- 8 oz Oaxaca Cheese, shredded
- 4 Tbsp Mayonnaise
- ½ Tsp Tajin Seasoning
Instructions
- In a medium bowl, mix tuna, celery, tomato, onion and mayonnaise. Season with the Tajin seasoning.

I will try your recipe – Tuna fish sandwich with Tanjin seasoning. My daughter loves Tanjin already. It is very popular in the local Filipino Community in Southern California. It’s not expensive.
This tuna salad sandwich with the Tajin seasoning is very tasty. I used white bread as my family do not like whole wheat bread. It was very tasty especially with the seasoning.
