Air Fryer French Fries

If you own an Air Fryer like I do, this is the only way to make French Fries using your Air Fryer. Super Crispy without all the oil!

I recently purchased the Vortex Pro Air Fryer by Instant Pot. I’ve had their pressure cooker for several years and now have published quite a few Instant Pot Recipes.

So what is the first thing you make when you get an Air Fryer? How about French Fries? After I did the highly recommended test run, it was a no brainer for me to make some french fries to go with my burger!

I also own an Air Fryer lid for my Instant Pot and previously posted about it in my French Fry Dipping Sauce Recipe. While the lid works perfectly, it is a bit smaller and does not allow you to air fry as much food at one time.

The Vortex Plus Air Fryer includes a rotisserie function so I decided to make the fries in the rotisserie basket. The beauty of doing it this way is that you don’t have to flip them halfway through the cooking process.

If your air fryer does not have a rotisserie function, you simply use the baskets or baking sheets that come with your type of air fryer.

The cooking method and duration should be relatively the same. If you want your fries extra crunchy simply add another minute or two to the cooking time.

I recently tried a different type and brand of french fries in my newest air fryer. The thinner fries, similar to the ones you would get at a fast-food restaurant may cook quicker than a thicker cut of french fry. Your mileage will vary with different types of air fryers so make sure you keep an eye on them so they don’t burn.
