    chick-fil-a mac & cheese

Chick-fil-A is mostly known for their Chicken Sandwiches but they also make some pretty good side dishes. Their Coleslaw is a perfect example. You can have this mac and cheese recipe as a side or eat it as a meal. Your choice!

So what's the big deal with Chick-fil-A's Mac and Cheese? Nothing special really. I've got many more Gourmet Mac & Cheese Recipes for you to try. The only thing a little different about this mac and cheese recipe is the use of heavy cream and the combination of cheeses for the sauce.

    💭 Ingredient Substitution

While this Mac & Cheese recipe is pretty basic and only requires a handful of simple ingredients, you can make a few substitutions if this recipe being an exact replica of the Chick-fil-A recipe is not that important to you. You can omit the romano cheese for an equal amount of parmesan. If you don't have any Colby Jack Cheese, you can use some Cheddar Jack Cheese.

    💭 What is Al Dente

When making Mac and Cheese, it's important to cook the pasta al dente to ensure to best texture possible. If you are not familiar with the term "al dente", it means cooking the pasta so it's still chewy and form and that it will hold its shape when the sauce is added to it.

Either one will work but I would not recommend using the powdered stuff. Enjoy!

I finally found the perfect Mac & Cheese recipe! I didn't know if 16 oz. was the dry weight or 2 cups. So, I used 2 cups elbow macaroni and it is so creamy and delicious. In the opinion of those who have tried this they say to stick with the 2 cups! My husband has never asked me to make Mac & Cheese before until I made this recipe! It's a hit at all of our get togethers!
