Are you wondering what to do with all the leftover Ham from the Holidays? I got you covered. How about some Delicious Ham Salad Sandwiches? Yes, you read that correctly.

Ham Salad Sandwiches aren’t as popular as their cousins Chicken Salad, Tuna Salad or Egg Salad Sandwiches but they are equally delicious thanks to the fresh Ham.

When it comes time to prepare the ham, you basically have 2 options. If you have mad knife skills, you can finely chop the ham OR you can do what I do and use my good old Ninja Food Processor to make the ground ham mixture.

Another option would be to use a meat grinder. My mom used to have one of those old school manual meat grinders when I was growing up.

She used to grind up our leftover ham to make sandwiches for us to take to school for lunch. She did use different ingredients in her sandwiches though. When we compared notes, we had the mayonnaise, relish and mustard in common.

I do recommend you trim as much of the fat off the ham before going to town and chopping it up. I personally don’t want a chunk of fat in my sandwich!

When it comes to the bread you use to make these sandwiches, use whatever floats your boat! Growing up all that mattered was that the bread was nice and toasty!

Remember, the whole purpose of these recipes is to give you a baseline to work from. Feel free to experiment and make it your own!

Prefer Dijon to regular yellow mustard? Knock yourself out. Want more sweet relish? Don’t let me stop you. We all have different taste buds and you should make this your own!
