Homemade Oreo Cookie Ice Cream

Here’s a simple but delicious recipe for Homemade Oreo Cookie Ice Cream. I use the ice cream maker attachment for my stand-mixer but this recipe can easily be adapted for other methods.

This recipe is actually the first homemade ice cream recipe I ever made in my stand-mixer. I love oreo cookies so it was a no-brainer for me to make this recipe as my first homemade ice cream.

Make sure you follow the directions for your specific ice cream maker. As I mentioned earlier, the instructions below are for the ice cream maker attachment for my stand mixer. The ingredients should remain the same.

You will need the following ingredients to make this Homemade Oreo Cookie Ice Cream recipe (see recipe card for quantities): Milk, Heavy Cream, White Sugar, Salt and Oreo Cookies.

  1. Combine milk, sugar and salt in a bowl and whisk until the sugar is fully dissolved. Add in cream and stir well. Cover and chill for at least 2 hours.
  2. Place 20 Oreo Cookies into a bowl and use a potato masher to crush them.
  3. Place the frozen ice cream maker bowl onto the mixer and set up the “dasher” as per manufacturer instructions.
  4. Pour your chilled mixture into the ice cream maker, set it to stir on a low setting and leave for 20 mins.
  5. Fold crushed cookies into the ice cream.
  6. Transfer ice cream into a sealable container and place in the freezer for 2-3 hours to set.

  • pinch Salt

Instructions

  • Cover and chill for at least 2 hours.
  • Place 20 Oreo Cookies into a bowl and use a potato masher to crush them.
