A sweet and spicy sauce is all you need for these awesome Honey Sriracha Chicken Wings
    Honey Sriracha Chicken Wings

I love Sriracha. I love it on eggs, in my chili, basically anything I want to be spicy. So when I saw this recipe for Honey Sriracha Chicken Wings, I just had to give it a try to see if it met my standards.

If you are like me, you love your chicken wings with a kick. I mean what's the point otherwise? This recipe will not disappoint you in that area! One of my other Hot Chicken Wings recipes is my Honey BBQ Sriracha Wings. Make sure you check that one out as well.

    💭 What is Sriracha Sauce

Sriracha Hot Sauce originated in Thailand. It's typically made with chili peppers, vinegar, garlic, sugar and salt. In the United States, Sriracha sauce is manufactured by Huy Fong Foods. It's sometimes called Rooster Sauce because of the rooster logo on the bottle.

Try to resist as much as possible the temptation to open the lid while it's cooking as the slow cooker loses heat. By just opening the lid to stir the contents can make the internal temperature drop by 10°F to 15°F.

📋 What Ingredients do I need

You will need the following ingredients to make this Honey Sriracha Chicken Wings recipe in your Slow Cooker (see recipe card for quantities): Frozen Chicken Wings, Sriracha, Honey, Unsalted Butter and Lime Juice.

🥣 How to Make Honey Sriracha Chicken Wings

Add Sriracha, butter, honey, and lime juice to a slow cooker. Stir to combine.
Add chicken wings to the slow cooker and toss until wings are well coated. Cook on high for 2-3 hours or low 4-6 hours until the wings are cooked.
Remove wings from slow cooker and place on a baking sheet lined with foil.
Transfer the sauce from the slow cooker to a saucepan and over medium-high heat, boil it until it reduces to a thicker sauce, stirring occasionally.
Drizzle Sriracha honey sauce over wings.
Set oven to broil. Place baking sheet in the oven and bake for 2 to 3 minutes until the sauce starts to caramelize.
Remove from the baking sheet from the oven. Coat wings with sauce again and broil for 1 minute.
Remove baking sheet from oven once again, coating with sauce and broil for 1 more minute.
Remove from the oven and enjoy!
