Looking for a delicious way to prepare pork tenderloin? Try marinating it for maximum flavor and tenderness. Check out our pork tenderloin marinade recipe.
I was in the mood for some pork tenderloin and wanted to try something a little different to inject a little flavor. I figured a simple marinade would do the trick.
As with all marinades, this one is super simple to make and calls for simple ingredients. You just need to plan ahead as you will need a minimum of 4 hours to let the tenderloin marinate.
You are probably asking yourself why you would want to marinate your pork tenderloin instead of using some sort of dry rub. Well there are a few good reasons to marinate your pork tenderloin.
Using a marinade will help infuse flavor into your pork tenderloin. It can also help break down the muscle fibers in the pork, which in turn helps make your pork more tender.
Ingredient Substitution
If you don’t have any Dry Sherry on hand you can substitute for an equal amount of white cooking wine. Additionally if you don’t have any peanut oil on hand you can substitute for some corn or canola oil.
Recipe Variation
You can use chopped green onions instead of the onion powder. The same applies to the garlic powder – use some minced garlic.
