What I like about this Casserole Recipe is how easy it is to make. You basically layer the ingredients in a baking dish and stick it in the oven. Now how easy is that?

Unlike some of my other recipes, there are not too many ingredients you can substitute. You can use a different kind of cheese or instead of the cream of celery soup, you can also cream of chicken or mushroom. The choice is yours.

You will need the following ingredients to make this Swiss Chicken Casserole recipe. For ingredient amounts please refer to the printable recipe card at the bottom of this post.

  • Chicken Breasts – Use boneless skinless chicken breasts. Always trim any visible fat
  • Swiss Cheese – one of the main ingredients for this delicious casserole
  • Condensed Cream of Celery Soup – you can also cream of chicken or mushroom if you prefer
  • Milk – I use 2% milk
  • Chicken Flavored Stuffing Mix – I use the stovetop brand (no affiliation)
  • Unsalted Butter – Salted Butter is ok but be careful because the stuffing is pretty salty!
  1. Preheat the oven to 400°F. Lightly grease a 9 x 13 baking dish. Set aside.
