A fabulous copycat recipe for Cracker Barrel's Broccoli Cheddar Chicken. Super easy to make and delicious!

Copycat Cracker Barrel Broccoli Cheddar Chicken Casserole

Since I love to cook and bake, I don't often go out to restaurants. But when I do AND taste something absolutely delicious, I make an effort to replicate it at home. And this time it's my Copycat Cracker Barrel Broccoli Cheddar Chicken Casserole.

I'm kind of fascinated by Copycat recipes. Heck, I have a whole category dedicated to Copycat Recipes. I think my obsession with trying copycat recipes is the challenge of trying to replicate a recipe that we love from our favorite restaurants.

    dinner plate

This copycat recipe from Cracker Barrel does not disappoint. It's so easy anybody can make it and there is a good chance that you already have all the ingredients at home so you don't have to make a trip to your local grocery store.

    plate of delicious food

While the original recipe I was working from called for four (4) chicken breasts, you could easily substitute for chicken tender (not breaded of course) or even cubing your chicken before putting it in the casserole dish.

Whatever you decide, I would suggest you use a good thermometer to ensure the internal temperature of the chicken reaches 165 degrees.

🐓 How to Handle Raw Chicken

Leave the chicken in the fridge until ready to use.
Be careful of dripping juices. Clean up immediately.
Do not wash raw chicken (which prevents cross-contamination).
Wash all utensils and cutting boards (if applicable).
If marinating the chicken, make sure you toss the juices before you cook. Don't ever use the juice from the marinade.
Wash your hands after handling raw chicken.

    ⭐ Copycat Rating

Since the goal of a Copycat Recipe is for it to taste exactly like the original, it's only natural to rate this recipe against the original. This Copycat recipe rates a solid 8 out of 10 in my opinion.
