This Cheese Tortellini Soup with Chicken is super simple to make in your slow cooker. It’s as easy as placing all the ingredients in your slow cooker and letting it do its thing for about 6 hours.
In addition to the cheese tortellini that “act” as the noodles in this soup, it also has some chicken in it to give this delicious soup some protein.
I like to use a couple of large chicken breasts for this soup recipe but you can adjust based on personal preference.
The same goes for the chicken broth. You can use a little less low sodium chicken broth but you will need to add a bit more water. You should have about 7 cups of liquid for this delicious cheese tortellini soup.
Slow Cooker Tip
Try to resist as much as possible the temptation to open the lid while it’s cooking as the slow cooker loses heat. By just opening the lid to stir the contents can make the internal temperature drop by 10°F to 15°F.
