This Banana Pudding with Vanilla Wafers is a simple recipe to make that your family will love! The perfect dessert to make the night before.
I remember when I was a kid and my mom would pack me a brown bag lunch. We’ve all been there. I remember either getting Peanut Butter & Jam, Cheese or Bologna sandwiches.
I would often get a little baggie with sliced carrots or celery sticks to keep it healthy. But what I always look forward to was my “dessert”. Sometimes I got cookies or jello but what I really wanted was a good pudding cup. Just like this Banana Pudding with Vanilla Wafers.
I would either get chocolate or butterscotch pudding but my favorite was banana pudding. To this day I love a good banana pudding so this Banana Pudding with Vanilla Wafers takes care of that craving.
If I’m lucky I will have some fresh strawberries handy that I can chop up and add to my pudding. Now while this banana pudding does not include any strawberries (but a good idea I am going to try one of these days), it does include crispy Vanilla Wafers.
In the absence of any other ingredient, I love what the vanilla wafers due to the consistency of this pudding. Can you imagine all the possibilities? Like substituting for chocolate wafers? Yummy!
In any case, here is the original recipe. If you decide to experiment, we would love to hear what you did! Oh, and don’t let the pictures fool you. This Banana pudding is delicious. Do you know how difficult it is to take pictures of this dessert? LOL
