    pizza sliders on a plate

When it comes to making sliders, this Pepperoni Pizza Sliders recipe is probably the easiest you will find anywhere.

And what I mean by that is if you can make grilled cheese, you can probably make this slider recipe easily. And impress your family and friends to boot!

I purposely kept this pizza slider recipe as simple as I could, but you can easily add more ingredients to make it your very own or even substitute for other ingredients like some cooked ground beef for the pepperoni.

    assembling pizza sliders

You don't have to use Hawaiian Sweet Rolls for this slider recipe. In theory, you can use any type/brand you want as long as they are the kind where the buns are all "stuck" together.

If you don't have any pizza sauce on hand you can substitute for your favorite brand of pasta sauce. Or even better, you can make your own with my Easy Homemade Pizza Sauce recipe.

When it comes to the mozzarella cheese I used cheese slices because I already had some in the fridge but you can easily use shredded cheese or slice your own from a chunk of fresh mozzarella.

My wife likes a lot of sauce on her pizza so you can serve these pepperoni pizza sliders with a side of pizza sauce (or pasta sauce if that is what you are using).

📋 What Ingredients do I need

You will need the following ingredients to make this Pepperoni Pizza Sliders recipe (see recipe card for quantities): Hawaiian Buns, Pizza Sauce, Pepperoni, Mozzarella Cheese, Parmesan Cheese, Unsalted Butter, Garlic Powder, Dried Basil and Dried Oregano.

🥣 How to make Pepperoni Pizza Sliders

Preheat the oven to 350ºF. Lightly grease the bottom of a 9 x 13 pan. Set aside. You can also use a baking sheet.
Cut the Buns horizontally (do not pull apart the buns) to create a top and bottom. Put the bottoms of the buns in the baking dish or on a baking sheet.
Spread the pizza sauce over the bottom of the buns. Top the pizza sauce with pepperoni slices using as many as desired.
Put the mozzarella slices on top of the pepperoni layer. Cover with the bun tops.
In a small bowl combine the melted butter, garlic powder, dried basil and oregano. Spread over the top of the buns. Sprinkle the Parmesan cheese over the butter mixture.
Cover with aluminum foil and bake for 25 minutes. Remove foil and bake for an additional 5 minutes or desired doneness.

These sliders are excellent. The only change I made was use shredded mozzarella cheese, because that was all I had on hand. The Hawaiian slider buns were excellent for these. My family and I just loved them.
